Background

The Institution is Salvation Army sponsored. It was started in 2001 as a community project to cater for education needs. The school is located in Kipsis Area, 20 kilometers from Chwele. It's situated in Mt. Elgon constituency, Cheptais Ward, Gachi Sub-location in Bungoma County.

Introduction

The school started in 2001 with nine students.

Currently

Currently the enrollment is 840 students, 540 girl and 300 boys. In 2011 it was re-registered as a girls' Boarding school with a plan of gradually phasing out the boys to their own school called Kipsis Bous. Land was purchased 2.5 acres by the Deput President; His Excellency Dr. William Samoei Ruto. Once the structures are put in place, boys will be settled there.
